We are looking for an experienced and knowledgeable candidate to join our growing Financial Crime Compliance team. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in AML and anti-fraud, who will be responsible for taking the lead of fraud risk management functions.
Responsibilities:
Provide advisory on fraud risk management to internal stakeholders and participate the working groups of new products/ services to advise necessary risk mitigating controls
Design and assess the adequacy and effectiveness of fraud detection and prevention rules
Establish and review the policies and procedures for fraud risk management as well as the process of fraud prevention and investigation
Identify and analyse the latest fraud trend and typologies to ensure the robustness of the fraud risk management framework
Organize and manage institutional fraud risk assessment
Undertake investigations and provide support, guidance and advice on fraud investigations
Investigate internal fraud and advise the controls when needed
Coordinate and communicate with various internal and external stakeholders on fraud related issues
Manage the inquiries, examination and other data request raised by regulators, external consultant, external auditor, internal auditor and Law Enforcement Agencies related to fraud risk matters (e.g. fraud intelligence)
Contribute to financial crime risk management in the virtual asset space, including advisory and investigation, in response to evolving regulatory developments and business initiatives
Escalate and report to the senior management on fraud investigations and fraud prevention programs
Coordinate and provide anti-fraud training to the team and relevant stakeholders
Promote and foster good culture on fraud awareness and prevention
Perform ad-hoc assignments and projects assigned by the Head of FCC or Deputy Head of FCC
Requirements:
Bachelor Degree in Banking, Finance Law, Accounting or related disciplines
Minimum 5 years working experience in banking or financial institutions with solid experience in fraud risk management, including money laundering/ terrorist financing/ fraud advisory and investigation. Applicants with less experience with strong potential may be considered for the Associate Manager position.
Experience in fraud risk management and/or virtual assets is an advantage, with a strong ability to interpret and respond to evolving regulatory developments in the fraud risk management and/ or virtual asset preferred.
Holder of HKMA Certification of Enhanced Competency Framework (ECF) on AAMLP or CAMS
Self-motivated, independent and ability to work with colleagues in different functions and across all levels
Strong analytical and communication skills, knowledge of Reg tech applications is plus
Good command of both spoken and written English and Chinese, with Mandarin proficiency is an advantage
