This is a fixed-term contract position of 1-year with possibility for renewal subject to organisational needs and individual performance. Reporting to Director, West K Academy, the Manager of West K Academy shall support and assist Director, West K Academy, to lead the Academy team in exploring lucrative arts education and professional training-related business opportunities with overseas authorities including but not limited to tertiary education institutes, cultural and arts organizations. The job holder will work closely with Director, West K Academy, and devise the arts education and/or professional training programmes that may involve selected colleagues of the two prestigious Museums and the Performing Arts Division as well as all the functional Divisions and Departments of West K. The matrix-like engagement of colleagues may vary for the customized programmes for various collaborators and may be enhanced by contract professionals on a need basis. He/she also has to support the organization of large-scale conferences and exhibitions conducive to promoting the arts and cultural industry of Hong Kong. You Will Be Responsible Forsupporting and assisting Director, West K Academy in developing and implementing strategies to expand business opportunities with international and local partners;supporting the curation of professional training programme and/or consultancy services to meet the needs of overseas cultural and arts organizations such as from Mainland China, Belt & Road countries and others;liaising and working with colleagues of the Museums and Performing Arts Division as well as all functional Divisions and Departments to produce contents of customized arts education and/or professional training programmes;assisting with planning and organization of large-scale events, conferences and exhibitions;supporting and assisting in liaison with overseas tertiary education institutes to achieve collaborative arrangements that expand the functions and capabilities of West K in international arts education programmes and help to position West K as a regional arts learning hub; andperforming any other duties from time to time as the Authority may reasonably direct. You Shouldpossess a recognised bachelor's degree in Social Sciences or business management, or related disciplines;have approximately 8 years of proven experience in arts education, and/or project management and conference organization in the arts and culture sector;possess professional awareness of international cultural trends and arts practices;demonstrate strong managerial competence preferably with experience of leading and supervising service contractors, short-term production teams etc;exhibit excellent communication and interpersonal skills;display strong business writing skills, in both English & Chinese, for formal communications with international and Mainland stakeholders; speak fluent English and Putonghua; andbe ready to travel internationally as required and make travel arrangements for guests and co-workers.
