Job Responsibilities
Customer-facing role involving Application & Systems troubleshooting, including Server, Storage, and Backup management tickets. Support the Field IT Team in achieving objectives against SLAs.
Act as the primary/secondary contact for on-site IT Systems, LAN, WAN, Voice, Printing services, etc.
Serve as the key person in the IT Deskside team during Business Continuity Plan activation and Disaster Recovery for the supported SSC.
Collaborate with SCCM & CMDB Teams to support End User Computing requirements.
Ensure compliance with Johnson Controls IT standards within the guidelines.
Handle support cases within agreed service levels, ensuring customer satisfaction and proper documentation in the ticket system.
Assist external service providers during their tasks.
Monitor system resource utilization for IBC systems, identify issues, and work towards resolution as per SOP.
Implement site IT projects.
Coordinate education and training related to IT activities at the site.
Required Skills
Ability to respond promptly to customer expectations with a sense of urgency.
Strong support awareness of Desktop, Laptop, and Peripheral devices.
Excellent analytical, interpersonal, and communication skills with problem-solving abilities.
Capability to handle multiple cross-functional tasks simultaneously.
Ability to work independently in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
Teamwork skills and effective communication across all management levels.
Sensitivity to cultural diversity.
Experience in installing, configuring, and setting up various applications.
Self-motivated with good organizational skills.
Ability to quickly learn new technologies.
Basic project management skills for planning and monitoring projects involving customers and IT departments.
Good understanding of Microsoft Office products.
Knowledge of Network standards—WAN, LAN, TCP/IP.
Understanding of Smart-Device technology (i OS, Android, Windows Mobile).
General IT awareness of Back Office solutions (Server, SAN, Data Protection, Cloud).
ITIL certification is a plus.
