Identifies supply vs demand profile for all allocated products within Celestica and proportion by customer and geography and communicate allocation. Resolves critical shortages that have been escalated and work with senior executives of suppliers to increase supplier support of products. Consolidates and reports customer service or revenue impacting items and ensure no impact to Celestica in the marketplace. Manages team for establishing rapid component sourcing for new program introduction and inter-site product transfers across defined geography. Develops new strategic processes, systems and a toolset to facilitate the sourcing process while maintaining strict controls. Directly manages a group of SCM employees or managers. Maintains responsibility for employee training, performance, measurement, development, motivation and recognition. Establishes department goals/ measurements and manages resources to achieve this goals. Drives continuous improvements of SCM function through interactions with other departments. Expert knowledge of the marketplace conditions for broad range of strategic commodities. Excellent knowledge of Celestica’s global supply chain including strategic policies and objectives. Good understanding of global business environment and Customers business, organization, products and processes. Strong knowledge of office systems and analytical tools. Ability to lead complex negotiations effectively. Expert knowledge of best of breed sourcing practices and methodologies. Strong ability to work effectively across functions and with Customers/Supplier to achieve Celestica's goals. Ability to evaluate, prioritize and problem solve a variety of tasks to ensure their timely and accurate completion. Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with a wide variety of internal and external customers. Ability to effectively lead, manage, train and motivate a diverse group of employees. Physical Demands Duties of this position are performed in a normal office environment. Duties may require extended periods of sitting and sustained visual concentration on a computer monitor or on numbers and other detailed data. Repetitive manual movements (e.g., data entry, using a computer mouse, using a calculator, etc.) are frequently required. Occasional overnight travel may be required. Typical Experience Seven to ten years of relevant experience Typical Education Bachelor's degree in related field (Commerce or Engineering), or consideration of an equivalent combination of education and experience.
