POSITION SUMMARYThe Merchandising Manager is responsible for all merchandising and stock planning related activities for Fine Jewellery Watch (FJW) in Asia. S/he defines business strategy for FJW within the Region in alignment with HJ BU direction. S/he optimizes the supply and stock availability, follows product strategy, Central and commercial guidelines. S/he acts as a bridge between Headquarters and Markets and helps to drive productivity by ensuring that the right products are at the right place at the right time. RESPONSIBILITIESMerchandising and Stock Planning Lead the Region, develop and implement merchandising strategy for FJW within the Region and build strong relationships with cross-functional stakeholders between HQ and Markets. Work closely with Markets merchandising team and establish a strong relationship, credibility, and trust with them to ensure merchandising strategy can roll out accordingly. In charge of the animation of the stock within the Zone: launch of collection, reduction of slow movers, and keep stock rotations together with re-balancing. Closely monitor stock level of the Region / Markets with the best utilization in order to maximize the target turnover. Propose and define prestige network assortment in collaboration with local HJ and retail team. Allocate and manage stock rebalancing across boutiques according to the assortment parameters. Responsible for stock allocation and transfer to maximize sales potential among markets. Review assortments when necessary, according to qualitative feedback, commercial trends, boutique typology or requests from Markets and provide ongoing product performance and quantitative analysis. Handle product enquiries and share feedback with regions and markets in a timely manner. Liaise, work and follow up closely with Headquarters in terms of stock requests and other related merchandising and stock issues, i.e. repair. Maintain and improve the stock turnaround time based on the business needs from different Markets. Ensure logistics flows, shipments and processes are optimized and look for continuous improvement in order to shorten the required lead time. Provide product launch strategy to Markets with respective information including prices, launching schedule, and quantities. Lead the events retro-planning and follow through the whole process. Invoicing follow-up with regards to commercial rules in both recurring and events. Stock repair handling and follow up the status with HQ and manufacture. Sales Analysis and Data Maintenance Track, analyze & effectively communicate on key sales and inventory performance indicators. Provide qualitative input and action plan recommendations when necessary. Alert on risks or changes in trend with action plan proposals to maximize sales potentials. Prepare dashboard and business reports on a regular basis. Consolidate sales data from Markets with validation to ensure the accuracy of data. Oversee the usage and support on different sales tools management, i.e. PLAZA, PEGA. Commercial Insights and Forecasts Monitor Markets and competitors’ trends to identify business opportunities while observing Markets landscape and customers’ preferences to maximize business potential. Consolidate Markets feedback and strengthen it as ONE voice at the Regional level while sharing Regional expertise and giving comments to Markets. Work closely with Markets on novelties forecasts. REQUIRED COMPETENCIESExperience:8 - 12 years prior commercial, management or merchandising experience in a MNC. Solid experience in FJW and FWM. Advanced working knowledge of Excel, SAP, Power BI/Looker. Excellent with Power Point presentations. Specific Competencies: Numerically sensitive with a commercial retail mindset. Strong attention to detail and analytical mind-set. Ability to multi-task, prioritize and meet deadlines under pressure. In-depth knowledge of luxury fashion industry, trends & competitor landscape. Strong analytical skills with strategic planning mindset. Quick-thinker and can think through complex stock situations.
