We are looking for an Events Manager / Assistant Events Manager based at Island Shangri-La, Hong Kong!As an Events Manager, we rely on you to: Work closely with the COE Events Sales team to maximize catering revenue through effective space management. Identify and develop business opportunities for events and catering sales. Handle the full logistics of events arrangement, including providing professional advice and alternatives to guests for events and functions, ensuring all requirements are communicated to respective stakeholders. Maintain good relationships with all related parties to ensure event logistics and payments are well-managed. Provide competitive market intelligence and identify potential customers. Lead, manage, and drive team members to achieve sales targets. Assist in maintaining a comprehensive, current, and guest-focused set of departmental standards and procedures and oversee their implementation. We are looking for someone who has: Bachelor's Degree in Hospitality Management or other related disciplines. Minimum 5 years of catering experience and proven records in handling large-scale events with full logistics arrangements. Revenue-driven mindset and attention to detail. Good communication and customer management skills. Proficiency in both written and spoken English, Cantonese, and Putonghua. Candidates with less experience will be considered for the Assistant Events Manager role.
