Job Responsibilities
Oversee the operation and productions of the entire Pastry and Bakery section;
Create and develops dessert and bakery items;
Monitor all aspects pertaining to the control of food cost and labour expenses;
Maintains an inventory of ingredients and supplies, while striving to achieve cost-efficiency;
Plan and assign work, direct the staff requirement to ensure a smooth operation of the kitchen;
Manage and enhance the team performance by providing regular training, coaching and constructive feedback;
Ensure Food Safety Management standards are implemented in the kitchen and follow the appropriate hygiene standards as per IHG requirements at all times.
Job Requirements
Holders of diploma or certificate in culinary arts, pastry-making, baking, or relevant field;
At least 5 years of experience in a similar capacity in hotel industry;
Good knowledge of different types of pastry, dessert, baking and cake decorating;
Well aware of the new trends, items, ingredients and production methods;
Creative, organized, with good communication and leadership skills
Good command in Chinese and spoken English;
Ability to manage the kitchen operation, plan for business and maintain the high standard of food quality and hygiene.
