About the Company: A top-tier US investment bank is seeking an IT Business Analyst/Project Manager in Hong Kong to drive Fixed Income technology initiatives across Asia, from feasibility to deployment, ensuring robust front-to-back solutions for sales and trading.
Role Responsibilities: Provide project management support for the Fixed Income business, conducting business analysis and feasibility studies for potential projects.
Partner with business and development managers to monitor and track the portfolio of technology initiatives for front office sales & trading.
Engage with product leads across technology to identify enhancements for current and future technology solutions.
Coordinate with other technology teams, operations, and finance to manage front-to-back testing and deployment.
Deliver region-specific Business Expansion and Regulatory Change projects, assessing front-to-back business impacts and implementing necessary changes.
Help manage the work pipeline and facilitate prioritization based on current supply and demand.
Promote project standardization, consistent risk management practices, and adherence to company tools and applications.
Required Experience: University degree and 8+ years of relevant experience in a major management consulting firm or the financial services industry.
Extensive hands-on project management experience in IT-related projects for financial services businesses.
Solid understanding of the Project Lifecycle (PLC) and System Development Lifecycle (SDLC).
Strong project management skills with a proven ability to perform under pressure and manage multiple demands and shifting priorities.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to quickly learn and resolve ambiguous problems.
Superior verbal and written communication skills, capable of producing high-quality, accurate, and audience-appropriate documents.
Outstanding interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and negotiate effectively across all organizational levels.
Knowledge of sales and trading, finance, operations, technology, or internal audit.
Proficiency in MS Project, Excel, and the MS Office suite.
Familiarity with Asia and global markets, exchanges, and their associated regulations preferred.
Experience with large-scale regulatory initiatives in capital markets (derivatives, equities), or working knowledge of securities, derivatives, and securities lending is advantageous.
