Entry Requirements
A Hong Kong bachelor's degree majoring in Mathematics or Mathematics Education, or equivalent.
A certificate in education from a Hong Kong tertiary educational institution, or equivalent.
At least 6 years of relevant post‑qualification experience in teaching, curriculum development, mathematics education related research, or project management in mathematics education.
Sound knowledge and educational experience in the area of mathematics education, STEAM education and the local education system.
A higher degree related to curriculum development and/or educational management, or equivalent (preferred).
Candidate may be required to take a written test on the day of the selection interview.
Duties
Plan, organise and conduct mathematical modelling professional development programmes (PDP) for primary and secondary schools.
Provide professional support in monitoring PDPs and the performance of service providers on the commissioned PDPs.
Plan, organise and conduct mathematical modelling competitions.
Provide professional support in monitoring competitions and the performance of service providers on the commissioned competitions.
Support the development and enhancement of learning and teaching resources on mathematical modelling, the use of digital tools (including artificial intelligence), and data literacy.
Provide professional support services, including drafting responses and materials for senior management, and engaging with various stakeholders such as tertiary institutions, professional bodies, other government departments and NGOs to promote mathematical modelling in primary and secondary schools.
Perform any other duties as assigned by the supervisor(s).
Terms of Appointment
Successful candidates will be employed on non‑civil service contract terms for 1 year.

14 days annual leave and full pay sickness allowance; rest days, statutory holidays, maternity leave and paternity leave as per the Employment Ordinance.
A gratuity may be granted upon satisfactory completion of the contract with consistently high standards of performance and conduct; such gratuity, plus any contribution by the Government to a Mandatory Provident Fund (MPF) scheme, will equal 10% of the total basic salary drawn during the contract period.
