Roles and Responsibilities
Assist in developing and implementing material pricing strategies to optimize costs with vendors, suppliers, and subcontractors.
Support the establishment and standardization of order processing procedures to improve efficiency and accuracy.
Conduct quarterly performance reviews of local subcontractors, ensuring adherence to quality, delivery, and cost targets.
Monitor and enhance warehouse delivery accuracy while conducting weekly stock-level reviews to prevent shortages or overstocking.
Perform bi-annual reviews of material pricing from factories and suppliers to maintain competitive and consistent costs.
Hold regular meetings with key suppliers/subcontractors to assess quality, performance, and compliance with contractual terms.
Proactively monitor the procurement cycle (e.g., PR-to-PO lead time) and provide timely order confirmations (OC) to relevant departments (MOD & EI).
Work closely with engineering, operations, and finance teams to align procurement activities with project timelines and budgets.
Stay updated on industry trends, material availability, and alternative sourcing options to mitigate risks and reduce costs.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Purchasing & Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or a related field.
Minimum 2–3 years in procurement or supply chain management, preferably in building materials, decoration, or electronics industries.
Demonstrated supervisory skills with the ability to mentor junior staff and manage vendor relationships.
Analytical Skills: Strong critical thinking and problem‑solving abilities to evaluate supplier proposals and negotiate terms.
Communication: Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills to liaise with stakeholders at all levels.
Team Player: Assertive yet collaborative, with a proactive approach to resolving supply chain challenges.
Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with procurement software (e.g., ERP/SAP) and advanced Excel skills (e.g., pivot tables, VLOOKUP) is a plus.
Candidates with more experiences may be considered as Senior Purchaser.
