THE COMPANY : Toys manufacturer Headquarters : Hong Kong Main items : plastic toys Minor items : plush toys Main market : US, EU, China Main customer : global fast food chain, major retailers and international toys brands Factories : Shenzhen & SE Asia We are looking for PURCHASING MANAGER - with details as follows : THE JOB : Develop Purchasing Strategies: Create and implement purchasing strategies to ensure cost-effective procurement of materials and services. Supplier Evaluation: Identify and evaluate potential suppliers based on quality, cost, and delivery capabilities. Contract Negotiation: Negotiate terms and conditions with suppliers to secure the best deals for the company. Market Research: Conduct market research to stay updated on industry trends and pricing. Inventory Management: Oversee inventory levels to ensure timely availability of materials while minimizing excess stock. Team Leadership: Lead and manage the purchasing teams in both Hong Kong office and Shenzhen factory, ensuring effective communication and collaboration. Performance Monitoring: Monitor the performance of suppliers and the purchasing team, ensuring compliance with company standards and policies. Cost Analysis: Perform cost analysis and benchmarking to identify opportunities for cost savings. Risk Management: Assess and mitigate risks associated with the supply chain. Vendor Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers to ensure reliable supply of materials. Compliance: Ensure all purchasing activities comply with company policies and relevant regulations. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Education: Tertiary education preferably in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field. Experience: 5+ years of experience in purchasing or procurement in the manufacturing industry; of which 2+ years in toys. Leadership Skills: Proven experience in leading and managing teams, with strong interpersonal and communication skills. Negotiation Skills: Excellent negotiation skills to secure favorable terms with suppliers. Analytical Skills: Strong analytical skills to perform cost analysis and market research. Language Skills: Proficiency in English and Mandarin is essential. TERMS & BENEFITS: 5 days work; Sat morning work-from-home; 13 months salary + performance bonus.
