What you'll be doing?Compliance coordination: Spearhead compliance regulation testing activities, determining applicable test standards for a wide range of consumer products.
Lab liaison: Communicate effectively with 3rd party labs like UL, Intertek, SGS, BV, and TUV to ensure thorough product testing and certification.
Documentation development: Create comprehensive QA-related documentation, including QC documentation for both internal and external audits.
Factory audits: Arrange and conduct factory audits to ensure compliance with international and customer standards.
Sample management: Oversee the reference sample and golden sample library, maintaining accurate documentation.
Quality control: Manage field inspections to perform standardized QC inspections, ensuring product excellence.
Who are they looking for?Engineering background: Preferably with a focus in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial engineering to support product development and quality processes.
Quality experience: 5+ years of experience working in small teams of engineers, designers, and project managers, ideally in a consumer products environment.
Compliance expertise: Knowledge and experience with global consumer product regulation compliance, including safety standards, electrical safety, chemical regulations, packaging standards, and social compliance.
Technical proficiency: Strong knowledge of quality control measures in product development (e.g., DFMEA, PPAP, CPK) and production & process quality control (e.g., ISO9000, ISO14000, AQL 2.5/4, 6-sigma, and 8 D analysis).
Multilingual skills: Ability to work in English, Cantonese, and Mandarin to effectively communicate with international teams and partners.
Travel flexibility: Willingness to take 1-2 day trips/week to China when required (post-COVID) for on-site inspections and audits.
Adaptable schedule: Ability to attend conference calls with US team twice per week during day/evening hours, demonstrating flexibility and global collaboration.
