What is the opportunity?
As the Assistant Relationship Manager, you will be responsible for supporting Private Banker(s) in providing administration service to clients, especially of high visibility or complex requirements.
What will you do?
Assist in providing updated market information to clients
Handle clients request and instruction directly, including trade processing and inquiries on operational issues
Collect and prepare documentations for account opening, KYC and risk profiling
Work closely with internal departments on monitoring the entire trade processing, including system input, settlement arrangement, clients confirmation and remittance
Adhere to RBC policies and procedures thereby protecting the business from financial and reputational risk
Comply with relevant Group policies, consider and elevate the adequacy and effectiveness of the business’ controls on a regular basis
Follow operating procedures which include relevant controls to meet group and local policy requirements
Participate in projects assigned by Front Office management team
Escalate client and risk issues to Team Heads, Business Manager, Market Head or other members of Front Office management team when necessary
Provide other administrative support as required
What do you need to succeed?
Must-have
University degree in Business Management, Finance, Economics or other relevant professional finance qualifications
Minimum of 5 years’ relevant experience in financial services industry
Experience and knowledge of wealth management or private banking investment products will be highly preferred
Excellent communication and client servicing skills in both written and spoken English, Cantonese and Mandarin
HKSI Licensing Examination Papers 1, 7 & 8 or equivalent
Able to meet deadlines and handle high pressure
Proven organization skills with strong attention to details
Demonstrated computer skills, including MS Word and MS Excel
Nice-to-have
Basic Bloomberg and Reuter
Certified ECF qualification is preferred
