Job Summary
The role holder is accountable for tracking all aspects of project management principles. This includes financial management, risk and issue management, change management, audit and controls, and communications.
Extensive experience writing programme updates for internal and external stakeholders, including board members, risk committees, and regulators.
Designing and tracking key performance metrics across the programme, from budgets to testing speed, to deliver the programme on time.
Managing a complex stakeholder environment across technology, business, and operations, providing clear updates and communications. Proven experience handling PMO work in a large‑scale transformation programme is required.
Hands‑on experience in Program Tracking, Stakeholder Management, Risk Management, Project Audit & Control, Financial Management, and related project‑management principles.
Programme Planning and Tracking
Effectively manages dependencies and constraints across projects and involved departments.
Updates and reviews Lessons Learnt (intra‑programme and organisational) before and during each project, ensuring learning is applied effectively.
Tracks deliverables across technology teams and provides weekly reports.
Programme / Project Governance, Process and Standards
Applies the Bank’s defined Programme Management standards, policies, and governance across the program.
Ensures the programme has a structure for risk and issue management, with timely identification, review, and escalation.
Provides programme quality assurance capability; conducts scheduled and ad‑hoc reviews of all programme materials and ensures data completeness and accuracy in the enterprise reporting system (Clarity).
Establishes relevant workstream forums, prepares and leads them, and follows up on actions.
Key Responsibilities
Communication / Reporting
Produces programme/portfolio summary packs and briefs senior management on investment status following the programme governance model.
Encourages high standards of quality, accuracy, and consistency in all project and programme logs, trackers, and reporting materials.
Financial Management
Manages programme technology budgets, drives cost control, analyses variance, and takes corrective action to maintain green cost status. Provides timely forecasts and reporting as needed.
Collaborates with ITO Finance and other groups to provide accurate views of actual spend; tracks and provides evidence for accruals, recharges, and third‑party spend.
Ensures accurate and realistic forecasts are maintained; monitors and follows up on variances; supports the Technology Programme Manager in meeting financial commitments each year and over the life of the programme.
Risk & Issue Management
Tracks risks impacting overall portfolio success, updating mitigation plans as needed on a regular basis.
Strategy
Develops and tracks comprehensive plans, considering both internal and external scenarios, particularly on interfaces.
Business
Works closely with technology teams to ensure all deliverables are tracked with high quality and within budgets.
Processes
Ensures adherence to all processes from all teams/application under the allocated squad.
