JD_20236RA) Ronald Lu & Partners (Hong Kong) Limited Apply Now Job Highlights Members of HKIA Registered Architect 5 years' post-qualification experience Job Description We are looking for the following experienced professional who is capable of carrying out supervision and co-ordination work for the project of “Batch 1A Development of Hong Kong-Shenzhen Innovation and Technology Park”: Resident Architect (Ref. JD_20236RA) The minimum qualifications required for the post of Resident Architect shall be as follows: Qualifications: Members of the Hong Kong Institute of Architects (HKIA), or equivalent; and Registered Architects of the Architects Registration Board (ARB) of Hong Kong; At least 5 years’ relevant post-qualification experience as an architect (in architecture) Duties and Responsibilities: Oversee and monitor the Resident Site Team and delegate duties amongst site staff. Ensure that architectural works of the Project are carried out in accordance with the requirements of the Project contract documents and statutory requirements. Check that the Project has been carried out according to the design intent and plans approved by the relevant government authorities, and that the Project is carried out with adequate safety measures and precautions. Monitor TCPs on the site fulfilling the requirements from the Buildings Department on Site Safety. Liaise with the contractors and the design and administration architect and ensure the timely application of any necessary permit to occupy the buildings from Buildings Department. Monitor the effect of the site works, if any, to eliminate / minimize the adverse effect on the neighbouring private/public properties and persons, including nuisances and potential danger. Monitor builder’s work progress to see whether reasonable progress is achieved and to ensure that the Project is completed according to programme. Review the approved programmes, and comment on the contractor’s progress reports. Coordinate with members of the Site Supervision Team and to issue necessary instructions, assessments and certificates under the contract and to attend site meetings and inspections as necessary. Ensure the Project is constructed according to the contract design regarding to works within their relative disciplines, including ensuring all the materials used are in strict compliance with the Specification and relevant standards. Liaise and co-ordinate with the contractor, the Architect, the project team, the employer and consultants (team) on matters related to architectural details, materials and workmanship, builder’s work requirements, statutory compliance and issues related to site progress. Co-chair site progress meetings with the Architect and attend interface and technical co-ordination meetings. Review consolidated monthly progress reports (if required) and make recommendations on the subject of contractual matters including contractor’s claims. Coordinate with members of the Site Supervision Team to provide consolidated monthly site progress reports for the contract works including extent of defective works reported from time to time. Provide supervisions duties and other duties as required under the provisions of the Buildings Ordinance and other relevant legislations/sub-legislations for the works being carried out by the Contractors/Sub-contractors on site, and to check that the works have been carried out according to the regulations and the technical specifications. Lead the liaison between the Contractor and the consultant team for smooth execution of the Project. Also, be a key liaison with the Architect and other consultants to resolve any conflicts and discrepancies among construction drawings. Employment will be on a contract basis for a period of 24 months commencing from immediately tentatively with possible extension subject to works condition.
