The successful candidate will assist in formulating and modifying collection strategies from time to time in response to the economic situation and lead the Collection Team to achieve collection targets by maximizing the recovery amount, reducing delinquency and flow rate, as well as minimizing credit loss with a lower charge-off ratio. Responsibilities: Actively lead the Collection Team in performing collection of all unsecured and secured retail products to achieve the Bank's target efficiently. Identify opportunities to improve collection performance by maintaining a broad awareness of collection developments in the marketplace and providing sufficient coaching to team members. Streamline the collection workflow and logistics. Actively monitor the collection performance of debt collection agencies. Review and formulate collection procedures, strategies, and guidelines in compliance with statutory requirements and in response to the economic situation. Identify opportunities to streamline daily operations to maximize resource utilization. Act as a focal contact for the Bank in dealing with IVA/Inter-Bank Debt Relief Plan/Bankruptcy issues. Requirements: Tertiary education preferred with at least 7 years of solid experience in collection practices, or over 10 years of deep exposure in collection practices with at least 7 years at a managerial level. Working experience in the formulation of collection strategies, policies, and procedures. Strong leadership, analytical, and negotiation skills. Able to work independently under tight deadlines and time constraints. Knowledge of relevant Codes and Guidelines introduced by HKMA/PCO/CRA/CCRA. Familiarity with litigation proceedings for both secured and unsecured products. Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese. High level of risk awareness, particularly in compliance.
