Oversee various projects and to exert relevant monitoring and control on all control, compliance, credit, audit and operational issues under the Division to meet the standard of both internal and external regulatory requirement
Ensure the effective management of end-to-end processes and associated risks in support of the business strategy
Proactive identification, management and escalation of material risk in accordance with the Bank’s Risk Management Framework
Oversee the AML / IRA projects for the Division including proactively monitor AML and KYC risk by implementing the bank’s anti-money-laundering procedures including rectification new/existing clients and transaction monitoring
Provide advice to front, middle and back office on regulatory and compliance issues
Liaise with local regulators and handle regulatory inquiries, audits, inspections, questionnaires and surveys etc
Manage the drafting, revision and implementation of the desktop policy and procedures for the Division, and conduct and coordinate gap analysis in consultation with the relevant functions and compliance officer
Ensure the Division business comply with both internal and external compliance and regulatory framework
Provide regular reports and progress updates to management on a timely basis and work closely with relevant functions (both internal & external parties) to fulfil the required deadline
Perform any other duties as assigned
Requirements
Degree holder in Business, Finance, Law or related discipline
7 - 8 years relevant experience in with at least 2 years in supervisory level
Solid understanding of control, compliance, credit, audit and operational risk concept
Experience in developing risk and governance operating models
Open, flexible and team oriented
Excellent communication, interpersonal and leadership skills
Fluency in both spoken and written English and Chinese, proficiency in Putonghua is a plus.
