A Day in the Life
This position is an exciting opportunity to work with the Diabetes business. Medtronic announced its intention to separate the Diabetes division to promote future growth and innovation within the business and to reallocate investments and resources across Medtronic. The Diabetes division, now known as Mini Med, completed its IPO in March 2026. The separation provides an opportunity for greater speed and agility. As a separate entity, we anticipate leveraging increased investment to drive meaningful innovation and enhance our impact on patient care. While you will start your employment with Medtronic, upon completion of required local legal and employment processes, you may transfer to Mini Med if business needs demand.
Responsibilities
Develop and/or implement global operating plans required to support product and program launches and achieve desired sales results.
Work closely with the field sales organization to increase the adoption of Medtronic's products by developing and/or executing strategic field activities involving customer education, training, and product messaging.
Develop and drive product and service strategies, operational excellence, high quality and economic value resulting in market differentiation, revenue growth and increased market share.
Collaborate with other departments, including senior leadership, clinic operations, quality, legal, finance, marketing, IT, and project management to ensure sales targets are met and strategic initiatives are implemented in the region of responsibility.

Management and supervisory sales professionals focus on direct sales and operational activities for one or more specified business units. The role typically includes multiple direct reports and responsibilities for overseeing performance, talent development, diversity and inclusion, communication, planning, and prioritizing employee responsibilities to achieve goals.

Required Knowledge and Experience
Requires broad sales, business development, and management knowledge to lead teams in one department. Typically requires mastery-level knowledge within the sales discipline and a broad understanding of related areas. A bachelor’s degree is required, or for degrees earned outside the United States, a degree satisfying the requirements of 8 C. F. R. §214.2(h)(4)(iii)(A) and a minimum of 7 years of relevant sales experience, or an advanced degree with at least 5 years of sales and leadership experience.
Physical Job Requirements
The position may require standing, walking, and lifting at least 25 pounds. Sight, hearing, or other physical abilities may be needed for tasks such as reading documents, operating computers, and interacting with customers.
