Job Purpose The (Senior) Solution Architect leads the design of technology solutions by turning complex business and technical requirements into clear, practical architectures.
This role shapes future technology roadmaps across applications and infrastructure, ensuring they are scalable and aligned with business goals.
As a trusted technical leader, this person guides teams, encourages innovation, and supports the organization in delivering impactful technology outcomes.
Responsibilities Provide architectural leadership to define and maintain the enterprise solution architecture in line with group strategy.
Develop and manage technology roadmaps and application landscapes that support business needs and future growth.
Lead solution design and governance processes, including hosting the technical design board.
Analyze high-level requirements and translate them into well-defined architectural solutions.
Create and maintain architectural documents such as C4 models, network diagrams, and application architectures.
Assess and recommend technology stacks that align with business goals and scalability requirements.
Review and evaluate vendor solutions to ensure they meet technical and strategic needs.
Offer guidance to engineering and delivery teams to ensure designs meet standards throughout development.
Ensure all architectures meet security, risk, and audit requirements.
Work with business stakeholders to balance design trade-offs and explain technical concepts.
Serve as the technical lead for major transformation programs and strategic initiatives.
Qualifications, Training, and Experience At least 10 years of experience in application and infrastructure design, including 5 years in solution design on medium to large projects.
Minimum 3 years of team management experience.
Experience in Insurance or Health Services industry is highly advantageous.
Strong skills in application and data architecture modeling, and managing solution portfolios.
Deep knowledge of architecture frameworks, design principles, and integration patterns.
Proven leadership in major technology initiatives and decision-making.
Solid experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and cloud-native design.
Strong understanding of security, performance, scalability, and data privacy.
Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills with business and technical stakeholders.
Fluent in English and Cantonese.
