Solutions Engineer, Hong Kong, Macau and Mongolia Join to apply for the Solutions Engineer, Hong Kong, Macau and Mongolia role at Net App Job Summary As a Solutions Engineer (Pre Sales) in Net App's Sales Function, you will primarily provide pre-sales technical support for the development and implementation of complex products, applications, and solutions. You will utilise your technical expertise and our cutting-edge data storage portfolio to address customers' technical needs and deliver successful business results. You will be assigned to a district team and sales leader, focusing on expanding our presence within existing and new clients alongside business partners. Use in-depth product knowledge to provide technical expertise to sales staff and customers through presentations and demonstrations. Assist sales staff in assessing potential applications of company products to meet customer needs and may prepare detailed product specifications for development and implementation. Create detailed design and implementation specifications for complex products and solutions. Build mini-applications based on customer requirements to demonstrate feasibility, often requiring rapid prototyping and product demos. Provide consultation to prospective users and conduct product capability assessments and validation. Job Responsibilities Design tailored storage technology solutions to address unique customer challenges. Convey the advantages of Net App storage solutions through presentations, demos, and discussions. Design and architect on-premise or hybrid storage systems (knowledge of NAS, SAN, and Object Storage required). Develop storage infrastructure and data management solutions for enterprise applications, including Cloud Services. Provide insights into the Storage and Data Management ecosystem, with prior experience in backup solutions. Create ROI/TCO overviews and highlight competitive advantages of solutions. Collaborate with client executives and partner sales to develop customer opportunities related to storage solutions. Advise on engagement and utilization of broader technical resources. Apply technical expertise on Net App's storage products and solutions. Job Requirements At least 12 years of experience and expertise in storage product specifications and services. Experience in Sales Engineering, Solutions Architecture, or Solutions Engineering in storage technologies. Knowledge in Cloud, Storage, AI/ML, Database, Microservices, Enterprise Applications, or Dev Ops is advantageous. Operate as Subject-Matter-Expert (SME) and influence sales initiatives and projects. Experience with EMC, HDS, HPE, IBM, VMware, or Pure Storage products. Knowledge of Docker/Container & Kubernetes (K8 S) platforms. Knowledge of hybrid multi-cloud technologies and AI Platforms.
