Project Nature
Support the upgrade of core software components of the Insolvency Estate Funds and Accounting System;
Support the feasibility study and preparatory work for the comprehensive revamp of Official Receiver's Management Information System; Planning and implementation of an Endpoint Detection and Response Solution to strengthen endpoint security in ORO; and Day-to-day core system support and maintenance service for the key information systems of ORO, including ORMIS, IEFAS, Email System, Mobile Confidential Mail System, Departmental Portal, Domain Controllers and File Servers.
Duties
Serve a contract assignment under Info Tech's headcount, full-time second to serve the ORO;
Mainly deployed to perform the following duties:
To provide technical support for the projects of IEFAS core software upgrade, ORMIS revamp initiative and the implementation of EDR; To assist in project management activities, including project scheduling, progress monitoring, and review of project progress and deliverables; To manage the implementation process and user acceptance tests, working closely with stakeholders, including ORO users, ITMU, external contractors and DPO, to ensure timely and successful IT projects delivery; To provide system support and maintenance service by liaising with users and vendors to troubleshoot issues, conducting testing, and arranging annual Disaster Recovery drills for ORMIS and IEFAS; To provide professional IT consultancy and second-line helpdesk support to the management and end-users; participate in configuration, testing, and deploying updates of office automation applications and support the ongoing implementation and enforcement of ORO's IT security policies, technical safeguards, and compliance requirements; and To carry out any other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Requirements
Have a university degree or equivalent in information systems or information technology or computer sciences or equivalent; Have at least six years of post-qualification IT experience including at least four years of experience in supporting Government applications systems; Possess knowledge and experience in Windows Server, Windows Active Directory domain, Virtualized Infrastructure; and Possess knowledge and experience in configuring/implementing domain security policy.
Technical Skills
At least 4 years' experience in Confidential Mail System; At least 4 years' experience in Departmental Portal; At least 4 years' experience in Endpoint Security Solutions; At least 4 years' experience in System Implementation and Maintenance/Support;3 years' experience in Server Virtualisation Technology is an advantage;3 years' experience in Microsoft Active Directory Administration is an advantage;3 years' experience in Network & System Management is an advantage;3 years' experience in Oracle RDBMS is an advantage;3 years' experience in PRINCE is an advantage;3 years' experience in Security Risk Assessment and Audit is an advantage.
Non-technical Skills
At least 4 years' experience in the management and support of Government systems and services; At least 4 years' experience in work with the Government;3 years' experience in Government procurement/disposal procedures is an advantage;3 years' experience in customer service is an advantage;3 years' experience in helpdesk call handling is an advantage;3 years' experience in managing Government IT standards is an advantage;3 years' experience in IT procurement is an advantage; Bachelor's degree/Higher Diploma in Computer Science, IT or equivalent; At least 6 years' post-qualification experience in which at least 4 years' relevant experience in a similar post and in a comparable capacity.
