PURPOSEThis role supports Group Tax in managing tax compliance, reporting, tax controversy matters, and the implementation of global tax policies across the organisation.
Key focus areas include BEPS 2.0, tax governance and controls, tax technology, and major enterprise-wide transformation initiatives.
The position will: Support oversight of group-wide tax compliance and tax controversy matters Assist with tax reporting, budgeting, and the assessment of accounting standard changes Contribute to the implementation of the Global Minimum Tax and other international tax regulations Support the transformation of the group recharging model and related tax implications Assist in the implementation of tax governance frameworks, controls, and tax technology Provide tax support to the Head of Group Tax, central functions, and Business Units on transactions and tax-planning initiatives KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES1.
Tax Compliance & Controversy Monitor and assess Business Units' tax compliance status across jurisdictions.
Review significant tax positions and uncertain tax treatments identified by Business Units.
Track legislative and regulatory developments impacting group tax positions.
Support Business Units in managing tax audits, enquiries, and dispute resolution matters.2.
Tax Reporting & Budgeting Deliver group tax reporting for public reporting cycles and coordinate with external auditors on tax matters.
Review Business Units' tax reporting and budgeting submissions to ensure IFRS compliance and quality.
Provide technical guidance on tax accounting matters.
Evaluate tax implications arising from changes in accounting standards (e.g.
IFRS 17).3.
BEPS 2.0 & International Tax Implementation Support group-led implementation of BEPS 2.0 (Global Minimum Tax).
Assist Business Units in complying with domestic minimum tax requirements.
Monitor global developments in tax transparency and ensure organisational readiness for compliance.
Support Business Units in meeting tax governance and transparency requirements.4.
Tax Implications of Group Recharge Model Transformation Analyse tax implications of group recharge arrangements, including income tax, VAT, withholding tax, and transfer pricing.
Clarify local documentation requirements to support tax deductibility.
Determine appropriate allocation keys and recharge bases, balancing tax efficiency with compliance risks.
Develop and implement organisation-wide frameworks, policies, and process documentation.5.
Tax Governance, Controls & Technology Support the implementation of standardised tax governance and control frameworks (e.g.
RACI, minimum standards).
Assist in developing tax policies, standards, and procedures for the organisation.
Drive simplification, automation, and continuous improvement of tax processes and tools.6.
Corporate Transactions & Tax Planning Support tax analysis for mergers and acquisitions, distribution partnerships, investment activities, structuring, and entity reorganisations.
Maintain relationships with regional tax industry bodies and external stakeholders as required.
Identify and support tax planning and optimisation opportunities across the organisation.
