Temporary Assistant / Deputy Manager - Fleet Technical Job Location: Hong Kong Office Accountabilities Monitor performance and maintenance standards of assigned vessels and motivate optimum productivity of M&R to be performed by ship crew. Assist, monitor, and control the annual budget of assigned vessels. Monitor activities of ship hands of vessels assigned to ensure the Company policies, guidelines, and procedures are implemented effectively. Supervise vessel's day-to-day operations, cargo, and navigation-related matters. Assist Nautical Safety in performing internal audits. Investigate and provide support for insurance claims related to hull, machinery, and P&I. Carry out vessel performance analysis, including cost/inventory control of fuel consumption, lubricants, spare parts, stores, lashing gears, etc. Complete all fleet vessel reports regularly and assist with various retrofit ad hoc projects as required. Requirements Shipboard engineer or University degree in Marine Engineering or related disciplines. Minimum 3 years' relevant working experience in Marine Engineering and Shipboard Management. Good analytical and problem-solving skills. Good interpersonal and communication skills. Proficient in PC skills and MS Office. Proficient in spoken and written English and Chinese; good command of Putonghua is a plus.
