To manage and deliver projects in Japan. To ensure the successful completion of all projects, on time, within budget and to the customer’s complete satisfaction. Develop detailed project work plans i.e. scope statement, time schedule, cost estimates, etc for prospective and awarded project. Ensure all established project management procedures are adhered to. Monitor and manage internal and external project tasks to ensure successful completion of all projects, on time and equally or beating budget costs. Develop and execute an internal and external communication plan for each project. Provide advice to customer and distributor on processes and best practices for installation and commissioning of equipment. Liaise between customer, distributor and factory on resolving matters relating to equipment deliverables and technical requirements. Liaise with APAC Management to plan and allocate required resource to execute the project. Provide weekly and monthly report to Senior Management on the progress status of respective projects. Complete project closure tasks and transition to Field Service Support. Field Service Management: Work closely with local team, sub-contractors and the factory, as applicable, to ensure equipment are well maintained and operating at optimum level. To ensure all contractual KPI and requirements are met according to the specified terms & conditions. Plan, manage and maintain adequate spare parts stock for equipment supported. Develop cost estimates for new and recurring service contracts. Ensure the service team provide correct and prompt technical advice to customer and to escalate as required. Liaise with APAC Management to plan and allocate required resource to carry out the service job. Provide weekly service report to APAC Senior Management on the status of respective site equipment. Provide timely reports and information to other functional units and/or externally to customers or other parties, as required. Ensure equipment and software version records are maintained and updated. Job Specifications: Degree or equivalent in Engineering (Electronics preferred) or in Management. At least 15 years of work experience, with at least 5 years of project management and people management experience with an international organization (preferred but may not be mandatory). Excellent project management skills and organizational skills. PMP certification or equivalent. Japanese certificates will be preferable. An understanding of computers and operating systems, with some IT network knowledge will be an added advantage. Work experience in x-ray systems (i.e. medical or security), baggage handling systems, IT, building control systems, building automation systems or defence and security related environment would be an advantage. Other relevant work experience includes control systems, planning and logistics. Experience working with the airport systems in an airport environment would be desirable. Experience in supporting operation-critical systems requiring high availability in a '24x7' environment. Team player with the ability to prioritize and work under pressure in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision. Excellent communication skills for both internal and external communication, and good at establishing and maintaining good relationships with customers. Proficiency in Japanese and English (both written and oral). Strong customer focus with the ability to develop good internal and external customer relationships.
