Today, Global Sources serves more than 10 million registered buyers and users worldwide, playing a crucial role in facilitating global trade.Job DescriptionEvent Manager’s role is to strategically build and develop their respective events, drive the tactical implementation of these strategies together with the show team, and deliver results in line with established KPIs and financial goals. The Event Manager shall also forge strong relationships with key stakeholders in their assigned industries including but not limited to exhibitors, attendees and association partners. Accountability and Duties:Event Strategy and implementationDevelop long and short term strategic plans for eventsManage tactical implementation of strategic plans and lead event team in developing tactical plansDeliver on financial, operational and customer oriented-brand objectives (e.g., new business and customer retention, customer satisfaction)Support the development of key strategic partnerships and management of association relationship.Support the development of event/product pricing strategies, based on strategic layout of event space, value-based pricing and commercial driversOperational excellenceManage P&L in collaboration with event team and FinanceProvide accurate and timely reporting of KPIs and forecastsProvide monthly reports and high-level leadership reportsManage collaboration across the business functions of Sales, Marketing, Operations, Finance, IT and DataResponsible for the overall customer experienceMonitor team and individual performance against targets and KPIsSupport on the recruitment and assessment of new hires to the teamSupport where necessary in the annual financial planning and quarterly forecasting meetings reviewsEvent Execution Monitor and manage the day-to-day execution of events across Event, Marketing, Sales, Operations, and more Provide guidance in the development of all marketing and partner programs Help guide the development of all content features and conferences.Manage the development and execution of all operationally related programsQualificationsMinimum of 8 years experience leading exhibitions, preferably in B2B sectorSolid event planning experienceAbility to develop relationships at senior level and engage key customersExperience of reporting, budgeting / forecastingAbility to collaborate with multiple internal and external stakeholdersStrong interpersonal skills and communication skillsPotential frequent travelingBachelor’s Degree or equivalent experienceWe offer 5-day week and a remuneration package including attractive salary, comprehensive fringe benefits, and excellent opportunities for the right candidate.For interested parties, please send full resume with details of availability and last & expected salary.
